Vijayapura: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) Leader H. D.  Kumaraswamy has alleged the Congress of hatching conspiracy against the party and his family as the Congress has the fear of losing in the bypolls.

Addressing media persons here on Tuesday October 26, he accused Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in Assembly, Siddaramaiah of using Congress Leader Zameer Ahmed Khan to attack him.

He blamed Siddaramaiah for the rise of the BJP in the State and weakening of secular forces. However, he did not wish to comment on the allegations made against him by Khan.

Referring to political activities that took place in 2008 – 2013, Kumaraswamy claimed that Former Chief Ministers Siddaramaiah and B. S. Yediyurappa had reached an internal pact, which helped the BJP in the byelection held in 20 constituencies after Operation Lotus.

Accusing Siddaramaiah of collecting money to help in the victory of the BJP candidates, he said that Siddaramaiah had received a large sum of money from Yediyurappa before the byelections held for twenty seats.

“How is it possible for the BJP to win 105 seats in 2018 polls when the party had won only 40 seats in 2013 elections,” he asked. He also blamed Siddaramaiah for destabilising the Congress – JD(S) coalition government.
