Vijayapura: A group of miscreants allegedly assaulted a KSRTC bus driver and conductor in Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh.
The bus was reportedly travelling from Vijayapura to Srisailam. The incident occurred on June 2 at the Srisailam bus stand, while the driver and conductor were asleep inside the bus.
A group of people barged into the bus at midnight and began assaulting the men. Locals, however, came to their help after hearing the duo scream for help.
Basavaraj Biradar, the bus driver, was seriously injured. Following the incident, a report was filed at the local police station.
Earlier, two people from Karnataka were injured in Srisailam violence that began with a verbal duel between a pilgrim and a local shop owner.
