Vijayapura: In a shocking incident, a debt-ridden farmer committed suicide by consuming poison at Bidarakundi in Muddebihal Taluk of Vijayapura District.
The deceased has been identified as Chandrashekhar Kadur (52).
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. He had borrowed a lot privately. Sources said he was also going to work as a labourer in saw mill. It is also learnt that he had a health problem.
A case has been registered at Muddebihal Police Station and legal action has been initiated.
