Vijayapura: Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the Government has provided free domestic LPG connections to families living below the poverty line. In all 9 Crore people have got free LPG connections. However, Nataraj, a distributor at an agency, said that they should also know about the safety measures taken while using the gas stove.
Speaking at the LPG safe use workshop organised at Vijaya Pre-University College Auditorium in the Town, he said, “Gas consumption and savings are important. Every women should learn safety measures, and ways to correct common mistakes,” he said.
“It is only in India that the gas filled in a gas cylinder is made to smell using a chemical. In case of leakage of cylinder, one can be alert from the smell itself and take precautions,” he said.
