Vijayapura: Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Pejawara Matha of Udupi has advised the Government, political parties and the public to stand by the people of all economically weaker communities.
Addressing a press conference in the City on Tuesday January 17, he said that there are economically weaker sections even among the forward communities. There are also economically powerful communities that have been identified as backward classes. Therefore, he suggested that everyone should extend a helping hand to uplift everyone socially, irrespective of which community a person with an economic disability belongs to.
“Those of us who believe in the ideology of ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’, our statements on the issue of reservation create a controversy. Therefore, all those who are economically weak should get help,” he said.
