Vijayapura: A Muslim Police Sub-Inspector organised ‘Ayudha Pooja’ as per Hindu traditions to promote communal harmony.
The pooja was offered by Muddebihal Police Station PSI Arif Mushapuri. He used flowers, thoranam (a garland made of mango leaves), and rangoli to decorate the Police stations.
Pooja was offered to guns, pistols, wireless, police vehicles, and other equipment. Arif had a tilak on his forehead and was wearing traditional North Karnataka white attire.
Women staff wore traditional Ilkal sarees, while the male staff wore traditional white clothing.
Arif’s unique approach has been praised by many across the State.
