Vijayapura: The BJP which is fully geared up for the coming Assembly polls has decided to make the campaign high-voltage by inviting prominent National leaders to the district.
The district would be witnessing the presence of important leaders including the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi himself who would be holding campaigns for the party’s candidates.
Informing this at a press conference on Monday April 24, District President, R. S. Patil Kuchabal said that presently, three national leaders would be coming to the District in a couple of days. They include, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Besides them, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis would also be visiting the district.
“On Tuesday April 25, Devendra Fadnavis will be visiting Indi taluk to campaign for the party candidate. Next day, he will come to Vijayapura City where he will visit Gyana Yogashrama of late Siddeshwara Swamy. On April 25, Amit Shah would be holding an election rally in Devarahipparagi Taluk. On April 26, Yogi Adityanath would visit Basavanabagewadi Taluk. The mega programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held in Vijayapura city on April 29”, he said.
Claiming that there is no anti-incumbency factor prevailing in the State, he said that people are happy with the BJP Government, therefore pro-incumbency is prevailing in Karnataka.
Replying to the allegation of Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi that BJP is giving the most corrupt Government in the country, the Congress which was involved in the Jeep scam to Bofors scam, is talking of corruption in the BJP Government, he said.
In his address, MP Ramesh Jigajinagi defended the decision of the party to offer a ticket to new face Sanjeev Aihole from Nagathan SC Reserved constituency.
“He may not be a known politician, but the party has recognised the new face and given ticket to a poor person to send a message that the party gives ticket even to poor candidates and not rich always”, he said.
He said that the party leaders will strive hard to ensure the victory of the BJP candidate.
Party leaders, Mallikarjun Jogur, Sanjay Patil and Suresh Biradar were present.
