Vijayapura: Accusing the Congress of giving four ‘gifts’ to country – terrorism, corruption, unemployment and poverty over its 60 years of rule, BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel has claimed that BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has curbed terrorism and nexalism, checked unemployment, removed poverty, given corruption free government and expedited development works in the country.

Addressing presspersons in Sindagi town on Wednesday October 27 on the sidelines of campaigning activity for the party candidate, Ramesh Bhusnur, Kateel claimed that Modi has given a great leadership which has been accepted by the world. “Modi has created a self-esteemed country with his able leadership. The world has gained confidence because of Modi’s style of working in the last over seven years of BJP rule,” Kateel said.

Alleging that the Congress has only played communal and divisive  politics in the power and off the power, he said that by announcing the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan and demanding separate religion for Lingayats, the Congress has tried to divide the society on communal lines. Claiming that the development of the society is the only agenda that should be raised in the polls, Kateel said that no other matter should become a poll agenda. Since the Congress has no development agenda and it cannot list out its development done in the last six decades of rule in the country and five years of Congress Government led by Siddaramaih, thus, the party has been raising unimportant issues.

“ The fear of losing the polls is haunting the Congress which has made the party frustrated. In frustration, the party leaders are raising useless issues,” he said.

Expressing confidence in the party candidates of Hanagal and Sindagi winning by a thumping margin, he said that people have made up their mind to defeat the Congress.

Social Welfare Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari, Former Minister Lakshman Savadi and other leaders were present.
