11 MLAs submit resignation, clarifies Speaker

Bengaluru: In a latest development in the state political scenario, Speaker Ramesh Kumar has informed that 11 MLAs have submitted their resignation.

While the state Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition government is feeling the heat of resignations from its MLAs, it was earlier reported that over 15 MLAs from Congress had submitted their resignations. However, many coalition leaders refused to confirm the same.

Reportedly, Gokak MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, Hirekerur MLA B C Patil, JDS MLAs H Vishwanath, Gopalaiah and Shivaram Hebbar, Maski MLA Pratap Gowda Patil, MLA Mahesh Kumathalli, have arrived at the Speaker’s office in Vidhana Soudha and will submit their resignations today.

Another team of Bengaluru, K R Puram MLA Byrathi Basavaraju, Yeshwanthpura MLA S T Somashekar Gowda, BTM Layout MLA Ramalinga Reddy have reportedly submitted their resignations.
