Bengaluru: The 10 – day Bengaluru International Film Festival will be held from March 3 to 13 by adhering to Covid – 19 guidelines.
The decision was made at the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival organising committee meeting on Thursday January 27 in Bengaluru, which was headed by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
The International Federation of Film Producers Association has recognised the Bengaluru International Film Festival, which is a significant boost for the festival.
CM Bommai said that Bengaluru Film Festival is one of 45 international film festivals recognised by the worldwide federation. He said that good quality Kannada art movies should be displayed at the film festival, appreciating the quality and experiments made in Kannada films.
He added that the film festival should provide a platform for Kannadigas to exhibit international films as well as Kannada films at an international level, and the films should have a social message. He also said that the film festivals should be based on certain theme. The film festival logo has also been released by CM Bommai.
