‘14.27 lakh acres of Govt land encroached in K’taka’

Bengaluru: Details related to the encroachment in State has been shared by State Revenue Minister R. Ashok. He said that 14.27 lakh acres of government land have been encroached.

According to the data, the highest number of land encroachments has been reported from Chitradurga District where 2.06 lakh acres of land has been encroached. 1.4 lakh acres of land in Chikkamagaluru, 1.44 lakh acres in Shivamogga and 1.11 acres in Udupi have been encroached.

The Minister informed that 2.70 lakh acres of encroached land has been reclaimed.
