Bengaluru: According to reports, Police raided godowns in Bengaluru and recovered 16 illegally stored cooking gas cylinders.

“We will continue raiding godowns in and around Chamarajpet, Goods Shed Road, KR Market, and surrounding areas,” a senior police officer stated.

The raid comes after three persons were killed in a blast in a Bengaluru godown triggered by a firecracker explosion. The police also visited cracker store godowns in the New Tharagupete area.

Cracker boxes exploded outside a godown in Chamarajpete on Thursday September 23 where three people were killed in a blast. Police nabbed the owner of the godown in Chamarajpete.

Ganesh Babu, the owner of Sri Patrakali Amman Lorry Service Godown, was detained after bringing a consignment of firecrackers from Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, for the upcoming festival season.
