Bengaluru: Karnataka too is witnessing a consistent increase in the COVID-19 cases and what is worrying is that frontline workers, mainly the police are getting infected.
If sources are to be believed then, 170 police personnel are now taking treatment while hundreds of other personnel are under isolation.
According to the data, three police personnel died due to Covid 19 and one police personnel committed suicide fearing the infection. Six have recovered and discharged.
Meanwhile, following the surge in the number of Covid 19 cases among the police personnel, the state home department has decided to notify five hospitals in the Bengaluru city for the treatment of Police personnel exclusively.
Home minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that the list of notified hospitals will be released soon.
