29% of tests between Dec 1 and Jan 20 were on children

Bengaluru: Health Minister K. Sudhakar said that the State has always stressed on testing. It has helped the State fight pandemic effectively, he added.

In the backdrop that the third wave could mainly affect children, the Minister on Saturday January 22 said that it was made compulsory that at least two per cent tested should be children. Out of total tests conducted between December 1 and January 20, 29% of the tests conducted were on children, he said.

Sudhakar informed that we are also conducting random RAT tests in educational institutions, and restaurants every 15 days.
