Bengaluru: The State recorded highest ever pass percentage in SSLC this year. However, there is a twist behind this mammoth results.
According to the authorities, over 40,000 students were promoted by giving 10% grace marks in the SSLC. Precisely 40,061 students got the benefit of this liberal valuation!
According to Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh, those students who secured above 178 marks in six subjects were given this benefit and promoted. “This grace marks option provided in three subjects,” he explained.
As these students returned to the regular offline classes only after November 2021 due to Covid – 19, the KSEEB followed liberal valuation system to ensure more pass percentage.
