Bengaluru: All in all, 50 taluks and 1,000 new revenue villages will come into existence from January 1, 2018. This list of new taluks includes Kadaba, Kaup, Byndoor, Moodabdiri etc.
According to the state revenue minister Kagodu Thiammappa, all the process on launching these new taluks has been completed and they will start functioning from January 1. “It is a new year gift to the people of the state,” he said.
Thimmappa also stated that out of proposed 1,000 revenue villages, list of 600 villages has been finalised. Rest of the 400 villages will be finalised soon.
“There is demand for four new taluks. We are studying the pros and cons of these new proposals. If we get a positive report we will include them as well in the final notification,” he said.
Meanwhile, the state government has decided to give title deeds for the land encroached by the farmers in pasture land and other revenue land. “The high court has vacated its stay in this regard. Soon we will start issuing title deeds,” he said.
