Bengaluru: Former deputy chief minister, BJP leader R Ashok has alleged that 50,000 voters’ names have been deleted from each Lok Sabha constituency of the city to help the Congress-JDS alliance candidates.
Speaking to reporters, he blamed the faulty voters’ list for the poor voter turnout in the city.
“As per the best of my knowledge, over 50,000 voters’ names have been deleted in the city’s constituencies. Their names were in the voters’ list given to the party. We want to know who is responsible for this,” he questioned.
“We are thinking of moving to the high court in this regard,” he added.
