Bengaluru: Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar has informed that nine districts in Karnataka have achieved 100 per cent first-dose coverage among the adult population eligible for Covid – 19 vaccination.
The top five are Bengaluru Urban (excluding BBMP limits) with 129 per cent, Gadag and Vijayapura with 102 per cent, Bidar and Bagalkot with 101 per cent. The State average is 97 per cent, and every district has crossed 90 per cent.
Arundhathi Chandrashekar, Managing Director of the National Health Mission said that, “door-to-door vaccination programmes helped improve State coverage.”
The Minister has praised the efforts of all health workers and District Administrations.
