Bengaluru: The Aadhar card camp organised for waste collectors by the Anti Pollution Drive Foundation (APDF) and Hasiru Dala at Basavalingappa Nagar colony in the City recently has helped over 64 people who live life by collecting waste.
According to sources, the Aadhar cards of 60 waste pickers were updated with the required corrections and updates, including 30 waste pickers having their mobile numbers changed, 8 having their addresses changed, and 12 having their cards renewed.
The APDF and the Hasiru Dala also held a special camp for waste pickers’ children, where they handed free school bags, books, and school kits and so on.
