Bengaluru: Agitators, who are fighting for the separate state status to the North Karnataka region have decided to hoist separate North Karnataka flag on December 10, the first day of the winter session of the state legislature at Suvarna Soudha of Belagavi.
Nagesh Golashetty, general secretary of the committee informed that the separate flag will be hoisted infront of the Suvarna Soudha. “Separate flag will be hoisted infront of thousands of people from 13 districts of this region,” he said.
“The HDK-led state government has not fulfilled any of the demands put forth by the people of this region in a meeting held six months ago. So we decided to go ahead with our plan,” he said.
