Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Labhu Ram of Hubballi-Dharawad has extended prohibitory orders in old Hubballi until May 4.
Officials have decided to arrest the group’s leader to question him. Along with him, the son of an influential political leader was seen making provocative remarks during the violence, and he, too, will be detained soon.
According to police, arrests are being made in phases to avoid any law and order issues.
Meanwhile, authorities have seized several ‘incriminating’ messages from the tab of Wasim Pathan, the mastermind of violence.
According to sources, Pathan is being questioned in a isolated area. The identity of the person who received messages from Wasim’s tab is being sought with the help of cyber police. Police have not said whether the incident was caused by outsiders.
According to sources, Wasim’s calls from the sim card, which was turned off soon after the incident, are being tracked by a team. Wasim had seized two sim cards and was using these numbers.
