Bengaluru: Forum of Former Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Universities (FVCK) has alleged that there has been violations of KSU Act 2000 while appointing Bangalore University Vice Chancellors.
The letter also states that there has been irregularities in constitution of Search Committees set up for empanelling suitable candidates for Vice Chancellor’s appointment. The letter is the result of recent appointment of Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University being made null and void.
It can be recalled here that Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot has rendered the appointment null and void as the consent of the State Government was not obtained before the said appointment.
