Bengaluru: Five days after an ATM cash van driver Dominic Selvaraj Roy fled with cash Rs 1.37 crore, the police have arrested his wife in connection with the incident. The police have also recovered cash worth Rs 79.8 lakh. However, the main accused Dominic Selvaraj is yet to be arrested.
According to the police, Evelyn surrendered in Banaswadi police station along with her kid. She surrendered before the police with Rs 79.8 lakh on Sunday night.

It may be recalled that on November 23, police recovered a gun and cash Rs 45 lakh from a van that was abandoned near Vasanthnagar area.  The incident took place at around 1.30 pm when the van – belonging to Logicash – had stopped at the Bank of India branch on KG Road. The police had immediately flashed alert messages across the city and barricades were also put into place on various roads.

The incident comes during a massive cash crunch in banks and ATMs following the banning of old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes. DCP West Division said that Dominic and his wife and son too went missing after the incident.

After the heist took place,  the police also questioned Dominic’s mother. She told them that her son along with his wife had shifted out of her home two months ago and was now living in a rented house in Lingarajapuram.
