Bengaluru: Autorickshaw fares in the City is proposed to be hiked come December 1.
The Transport Department has approved the proposal to increase the minimum fare as per demand by autorickshaw drivers’ union. The unions have demanded to minimum fare to be fixed at Rs. 30 and the fare for each subsequent kilometre to Rs 15.
However, sources from RTO said that the hike will come into effect only after the notification is published in the gazette. The last time autorickshaw fares were hiked in 2013.
