Bengaluru: This is how the social media craze of few associates of former underworld don Muttappa Rai created problems for him. On Monday, CCB police registered an FIR against a private security agency which is providing armed security to Rai under the provisions of the Karnataka Security Services Act. A few security personnel of Rai too, have been named in the FIR.
All started on the day of Ayudha Puja. Rai and his wife were performing puja to the various arms at his residence. Few of his associates clicked the puja event and uploaded the pictures on the social media.
Soon, the CCB took note of the incident and summoned him and it is believed that the sleuths grilled him for about seven hours. After the inquiry, an FIR was registered against the company which is providing security to him and also against the security guards of Rai.
“Following the incident, police have also kept an eye on the business of Rai. Police have collected few documents especially related to the real estate activities of Rai,” informed CCB sources.
