Bengaluru: One of the common beliefs in the state politics is that if the coalition government falls, naturally BJP state President BS Yeddyurappa will form the next government. But senior party leader, Lingayat strongman V Somanna, who represents the Govindarajanagar constituency thinks otherwise. According to him party mass leader from Ballari district, party’s Dalit face B Sreeramulu will be the next CM of the state.
Speaking to the reporters in Ballari while participating in a party rally Somanna sent a shocker to the BSY camp by announcing that if the party forms government again, then B Sreeramulu will become the CM.
“If HDK, whose party won just 37 seats becomes the CM then why not B Sreeramulu,” he questioned.
According to the party insiders, the relationship between V Somanna and BS Yeddyurappa has turned hostile over the last few months. “Both are not seeing eye to eye,” said a party leader.
