Bengaluru: To endure that the paediatric cancer patients at the government-run Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology are receiving nutritious milk and curds, the BAMUL (Bengaluru Rural and Ramanagara Milk Producers Union) has begun supplying free hot milk and curd at the hospital’s premises.
The aforementioned patients and their parents can avail free milk, buttermilk and curds under this scheme between 6.30 AM and 10.30 AM. This scheme has been implemented by the BAMUL to ensure that the patients are not malnourished.
The Managing Director of BAMUL, Suresh has said that this scheme will continue for one year.
Director of the Kidwai Memorial Institute Dr Ramachandra a told reporters that this scheme is expected to be a major nutritional intervention for the needy patients.
