Bengaluru: BJP MLC H. Vishwanath said that It is illogical to ban Muslims from conducting business on temple premises. He also said that the government should break its silence and take action against temple authorities, otherwise people will act.

After meeting Former Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi at Gokak on Sunday March 27, he said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the message of ‘Sab ka vikas and vishwas.’ Our State, on the other hand, is moving in the wrong direction. How will the Muslims who sell flowers, fruits, and puja materials near temples support themselves? It amounts to untouchability.

He went on to say that the government should think beyond party, caste and religion.

“Some unknown hands are working behind the scenes, trying to terminate my and Jarkiholi’s careers,” he claimed, referring to the denial of a ministerial berth to Ramesh Jarkiholi. We are the reason the current BJP government was elected. If the party tries to suppress us, we will not tolerate it. An atmosphere is being created against backward leaders including Siddaramaiah, Jarkiholi and me,” he expressed.
