Bengaluru: The fate of the 1,121 candidates who contested the BBMP elections from 197 wards will be decided by Tuesday afternoon.
“The election results will be updated live on the BBMP website (www.bbmp.gov.in). As and when the results are in for various wards, they will be (put up) in our website,” Palike Commissioner G Kumar Naik told reporters on Monday. Counting will start in 27 centres at 8 am.
Each centre will have 11-14 tables, and each returning officer will have to count votes from three to four wards. A display with live updates will be put up outside every centre.
Palike Commissioner asked the supporters of various candidates not to gather in large numbers outside counting centres. Those who gather must show restrain while celebrating.
