Bengaluru: After Ganeshotsava, now the BBMP has issued stringent guidelines even for the celebrations of Durga puja during Navaratri celebrations. As per the guidelines, the height of the statues is capped at 4 feet.
According to the directives, only one idol will be allowed per ward. Only 100 people can be allowed at a time for the Darshan. At the time of idol immersion, only 10 persons will be allowed. No procession will be allowed keeping in mind the prevailing Covid 19 situation.
It can be recalled that in Bengaluru, every year, people from Bengal celebrate the Navaratri by installing the idol of Durga Matha.
