Bengaluru: The BBMP has issued permission for Christmas celebrations in all churches of the City without any special conditions. The church managements have been asked to follow Covid appropriate behaviour like social distancing, mandatory masks, vaccination and hand sanitisation among others.
This comes as a big relief to the devotees who were apprehensive about the possible curbs on the celebrations.
BBMP Chief Commissioner has Gaurav Gupta requested the church managements to ensure that all the Covid – 19 guidelines are followed to check the spread.
Meanwhile the State Government likely to come out with a set of guidelines on the new year celebrations. With no increase in the Covid – 19 cases, the government is likely to allow the celebrations with a few conditions.
