Bengaluru: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) spent Rs. 23 Crore on redeveloping and repairing around 14 km of the road.

In addition to this, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) undertook road construction near Kommaghatta, where the Prime Minister greeted a crowd and laid the foundation for a number of infrastructure projects.

BBMP Special Commissioner (Projects) P. N. Ravindra informed that the civic body started constructing the roads the Prime Minister would use about 15 days before his visit. Day and night were spent working on this.

The road works involved re-asphalting of roads, re-doing service roads, replacing faulty street lights, and medians, painting, and other related works.

The PM travelled on the newly built roads, including Ballari Road, Tumakuru Road, Mysuru Road, Bengaluru University Road, Komaghatta Road, and others.
