Addressing the gathering during the Investiture Ceremony on Monday November 8 at Raj Bhavan, he said that over 1,547 posts in the Fire and Emergency Services Department are finally being filled after many years.

The event was organised by the office of the Director General of Police; Commandant General, Home Guards; Director, Civil Defence; DGP, Fire and Emergency Services, and Director General of SDRF Karnataka.

“The government has given the Fire Department an aerial platform ladder worth Rs. 30 Crore for emergency response during fire accidents,” he said.
