Bengaluru: The new extended stretch of ‘Namma Metro’ Phase-II. Around 18,000 people travelled between K. R. Puram and Whitefield on Monday March 27, the second day.

Around 18,000 people have benefited from the new stretch between 5.00 am and 9.00 pm.

As many as 16,319 people travelled between 7.00 am and 11.00 pm on Sunday March 26. There was a slight increase in the number of passengers on the second day. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has said that there will be a further increase in this in the coming days.

The train service is available every 12 minutes on this route and the trains are operating at the same frequency even in high passenger traffic. Officials said they intend to increase the frequency in the coming days based on the congestion.
