Bengaluru: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar on Sunday August 28 said that the Bharat Jodo march will be held in the state for 21 days, from Gundlupet to Raichur. There is a plan for the participants to register and interact with the leaders till 11.00 am. The padayatra will then continue till evening.
The Congress leaders said that Karnataka should have a government free of corruption, provide jobs for young people, and improve the lives of farmers and labourers. These are the five objectives of the Jodo Yatra.
Every day during the padayatra, people will walk 25 km. This padayatra will be open to people from all districts. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, will walk 3,500 km.
