Bengaluru: Bike hits electric pole, pillion rider dies

Bengaluru: A 34-year-old man died on the morning of Sunday October 23 after sustaining head injuries in a road accident in the RT Nagar traffic police station limits. According to sources, he was not wearing a helmet.

The deceased has been identified as Dhruvanand, a resident of RT Nagar. Devendra Reddy, a friend of his who was riding the two-wheeler, suffered injuries in the accident and is receiving treatment at a hospital. According to sources, his condition is out of danger.

The incident happened on Ballari Road at 4.45 am on Sunday when the two were going on a bike. Devendra Reddy lost control of the vehicle which hit the footpath before ramming into an electric pole. While Dhruvanand died on spot, Reddy sustained injuries, said the police.

RT Nagar Traffic Police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
