Bengaluru: A 24-year-old man’s body was found in the bathroom of a Paying Guest (PG) facility nearly after three days after death.
The deceased has been identified by police as H. S. Anil Kumar, a writer who lived in the PG facility in Govindarajanagar off Magadi Road and worked for a private company. The housekeeping staff found Kumar’s body on the morning of September 19. Kumar had gone to the bathroom on September 16 and was reported missing on September 17.
In a complaint filed with the Govindarajanagar police, Kumar’s father H. C. Someshekarappa of Horaluru village in Shivamogga has raised suspicions regarding the death.
According to police sources, Kumar had the bathroom locked from the inside and showed no signs of being physically injured. Kumar can be seen entering the bathroom in CCTV footage from a camera installed nearby, but no one else used that particular restroom thereafter.
According to police, the majority of people at the PG facility are working professionals who travel to their hometowns on the weekends. The incident happened on Friday and his body was found on Monday, informed the police.
