Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has condoled the death of noted Yakshagana Artiste and Former MLA Kumble Sundar Rao.
ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ, ಬಯಲಾಟ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಮಾಜಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಳಮದ್ದಳೆಯ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕುಂಬಳೆ ಸುಂದರರಾವ್ ರವರು ನಿಧನರಾದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿದು ದುಃಖಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಂತಿಸಿಗಲಿ, ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಈ ನೋವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

Having served as a Yakshagana artiste in Surathkal and Dharmasthala melas, he became a household name with his fluent semantics.
The Chief Minister said that his service as MLA and President of Yakshagana Academy is memorable.
“I pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and give strength to his family and admirers to bear the loss,” he stated in his condolence message.
