Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will visit Shiggaon and Savanur and lay the foundation for a textile park on Saturday July 16. He will also launch other developmental projects along with this.
The proposed textiles park will be built on 59.34 acres of land.
The construction of the unit’s infrastructure would happen in three phases. For the initial phase, the State Government has allocated Rs. 25 Crore.
He is also scheduled to lay the foundation for the development of a unit producing readymade garments.
According to sources, Ms Texport Private Limited will invest Rs. 42 Crore to set up the readymade garments unit which is expected to create employment opportunities for around 3,000 people.
