Bengaluru: Congress condemned the BJP alleging that there were flaws with the reservation of municipal wards. This comes ahead of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar said that the reservation of wards should have been done according to the population.
Shivakumar stated that “However, the BJP Government in Karnataka carried out the exercise in a way that the Congress should not win the BBMP election. The party threw social justice to the wind and released the list of reservation of wards.”
“The BJP government has cheated women, other backward castes, scheduled castes, and scheduled tribes,” he said. Shivakumar warned that his party will launch legal action against this.
