Bengaluru: Country’s 1st cow adoption programme launch on July 28

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai will launch the country’s first cow adoption programme on July 28.

This adoption scheme is named as Punyakoti adoption scheme. The annual fee to adopt a cow is fixed at Rs.11,000. The adoption scheme starts at Rs.70 per day. The public can adopt for any number of days.

The State Government will launch a dedicated website to enable cow adoption for the donors.

Another future of this programme is the public can make donations starting from Rs.10 through this website.

According to animal husbandry minister Prabhu Chavana, the idea behind this is to involve the general public in cow protection and provide better facilities.
