Bengaluru: Court order to block Cong Twitter accounts

Bengaluru: A civil court here on Monday November 7 imposed a temporary injunction against the Congress and Bharat Jodo Yatra’s Twitter accounts. It allegedly ordered the removal of links due to the music from the popular movie KGF-2’s alleged copyright violation.

The temporary injunction on the official Congress Twitter accounts was issued by the court of the 85th additional city civil judge during a commercial dispute case that MRT Music had filed with the court regarding the alleged violation of copyrights held by the firm for music by KGF.

The court in its ex parte order ruled that the prima facie material produced before the court by MRT Music indicated that the company could undergo ‘irreparable injury.’

“Congress is directed to withdraw and take down the links from its platform until further orders,” the court said. The court also said that the blocking of two Twitter accounts of Congress.
