Bengaluru: Bengaluru Rural MP D. K. Suresh Kumar, younger brother of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar has expressed his displeasure over the celebration of Siddaramotsava at Davanagere on August 3.
“It is not sure whether Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah likes worshipping individuals. However, a few are engaged in this,” he said.
He was speaking at the preparatory meeting of the event in which he suggested the organisers to organise this event within the party frame works. “As this is the election year, the event should not send any wrong messages. It should not create a problem for the party,” he said.
He suggested to bring this event along with the 75th year of the celebration of Indian independence.
Former Deputy CM G. Parameshwara said that he is proud about the commitment of Siddaramaiah to social justice. ‘But I am able to understand him just 50% even though I worked with him for over 8 years,” he said.
