Bengaluru: Elderly woman dies in hit-and-run accident

Bengaluru: A elderly woman who was injured in a hit-and-run accident near KHB Colony in Yelahanka passed away on the night of Monday November 7.

According to preliminary reports, Muniyamma (75), who was walking alongside the road with her daughter-in-law Monika at 7.45 pm on Sunday, was hit by a speeding car and suffered serious injuries.

Monika took her to Yelahanka Government Hospital, where she was later shifted to Victoria Hospital. Muniyamma passed away on Monday around 8.30 pm.

Monika stated in her police complaint that she went with Muniyamma on Sunday to Sidlaghatta in Chikkaballapura.

A car brushed Muniyamma and sped away when they got off the bus in Yelahanka.

The police are searching for the driver and the car.
