Bengaluru: IT-BT Minister and Vice-Chairman of the Kempegowda Heritage Area Development Authority Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan said on Monday November 14 special arrangements will be made for visitors who are eager to see the 108-foot-tall bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda at the Bengaluru Airport.

In a meeting with officials on Monday, Narayan said that it had been decided that special arrangements will be taken in this regard due to the rising number of visitors to the statue and the news that they were being denied entry.

According to him, it has been decided to make it easier for people to reach the statue from the IOC fuel station-side because construction on the Kempegowda Theme Park is still underway.

The public would have access to parking behind the fuel station for a maximum of 80 vehicles, which would be available in a week.

A 30-minute visit time is given to each visitor. “The arrangements being made at the moment are temporary, while more of such facilities will be put in place after work on the theme park is completed,” he said.

The Minister said that no entry fees will be charged to anyone who visit the statue and added that plans were also being made to improve lighting at the site to make it more attractive at night.
