Bengaluru: Family dispute, son and mother die by suicide

Bengaluru: In a heart-wrenching incident, a son died by suicide along with his mother in Rajagopalanagar Police Station limits.

The son brought his elderly mother home from his village. However, the wife refused to serve her mother-in-law. Bhagyamma (57) and her son Srinivas (33), residents of Srigandhanagara near Hegganahalli are the deceased.

Police said the two died by suicide around 12 noon on Sunday November 13 and the matter came to light when Srinivas’ wife Sandhya came home.

Srinivas, a native of Siddapura in Kodagu District, was working as a representative of a pharmaceutical company. Sandhya, a resident of Srigandhanagara is a BTech graduate and was working in a private company. The two fell in love and got married eight years ago. The couple has a 6-year-old son. Sandhya’s parents had given her a plot of land next to their house. Srinivas built a house and lived with his wife and son there. Srinivas’s parents lived in Siddapura. Her father worked as a security guard while her mother was a homemaker.
