Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a college student was killed after being run over by a crane near Kannamangala Gate under Whitefield traffic Police Station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Noor Fiza (19), who was living with her parents in Kannamangala. Noor Fiza, who was pursuing B.Com in a private college was walking home from Kannamangala bus stand when the crane coming from behind ran over her allegedly due to the carelessness of the driver of the vehicle. Noor Fiza, who was seriously injured in the incident, was rushed to a private hospital. However, the treatment did not work and the brain became inactive and she died.
The CCTV footage showed a crane vehicle running over the girl allegedly due to the driver’s carelessness. A crane from Kannamangala has been seized and the driver has also been taken into custody, police said.
