Bengaluru: The State Government has started preparations for the 14th edition of Aero India which will be held in February 2023.
According to Gaurav Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure, the dates for this mega global event are yet to be finalised. “However, as a huge number of people turn up for this biannual event, preparations are underway,” he explained.
“Several responsibilities have been divided between various agencies for this event,” he said.
The 13th edition of the show was held in the year 2021. However, keeping in mind the prevailing Covid – 19 situation, it was a subdued celebration.
According to the authorities, the Department recently held a meeting with all the stakeholders including the Indian Airforce, to discuss about organising the event. In this event, it was decided to start the first show at 9.30 am and conclude the air shows early in the day to avoid traffic jams.
In the meeting, it was also decided to ensure enough parking space, multiple entries and exit points and roads for the smooth flow of the traffic.
