Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Chief Commissioner (BBMP) Tushar Girinath, warned Palike engineers and urged them to improve the condition of the roads by standardising work and making it convenient for people.
In response to the frequent pothole-related incidents in the City, the BBMP organised a workshop for its engineers on Saturday November 19 at Town Hall with the theme ‘Workshop on construction, maintenance and project management of BBMP urban infrastructure projects.’ Special Commissioner for Traffic Rakesh Singh and M. A. Saleem and others were present.
Girinath advised the engineers to make changes to the way they worked daily. Singh also urged engineers to treat the government with respect by managing their projects properly. “Engineers are the key players for projects that the BBMP and the government work on. Therefore, implementation of construction and maintenance should be taken seriously,” he added.
Saleem said there will not be a problem with traffic congestion if the roads were well maintained. “There won’t be any traffic problems in the City, if BBMP, BWSSB, and other authorities managed the roads properly,” he added.
