Bengaluru: The 14 Academies and 2 Authorities under the Kannada and Culture Department will have new Chairpersons and Members appointed by the Government because the current ones’ three-year terms are up on Friday October 14.

However, given the recent appointment of the new Presidents for Yakshagana Academy and the Bayalata Academy, it is anticipated that they would allowed to complete their term.

According to sources, the Government will name new Chairpersons and Members for all the academies and authorities with the exception of Yakshagana Academy, Bayalata Academy, and Lambani Academy as they would be permitted to finish their terms. Newcomers have recently been appointed by the Government to serve at various academies. They will also probably be continued, it is learnt.

As their terms in office expire on Friday, Karnataka Lalitha Kala Academy President D. Mahendra and Karnataka Sahitya Academy President B. V. Vasanthakumar stated that it is possible for the Government to induct newcomers and that they were happy with whatever work they have undertaken so far.
